DOUSCANA

Sangiovese / Touriga

Douscana is a wine which combines what have always been two of the finest and most interesting winegrowing regions. Douro and Tuscany. It is from Douro that Touriga Nacional grapes come from with their complex structure and longevity, while Tuscany is the homeland of Sangiovese grapes which give wine freshness and a fine balance. This is a wine that springs from the impassioned commitment and work of family firms.

GRAPE VARIETIES:

50% Sangiovese grown and vinified in Tuscany, 50% Touriga Nacional produced and vinified in the Douro Valley.

WINEMAKING:

Once the two grape varieties have been harvested and vinified in their respective areas of production, in compliance with strict quality protocols, the two wines are assembled in the Douro Valley winery, according to the project and concept of the oenologist, Andrea Bernardini, Filipa Pizarro and Emanuela Tamburini. When the blend has been aged in french oak tonneaux for some months, the wine is bottled. and marketed exclusively by the two partner firms of the project. This wine is made only in the best vintage.
